4. Attributed Strings and Document Containers

Attributed strings form the basis of some of the most portable and adaptive iOS elements. Over the past few years, this class has grown enormously in power and potential. New document support includes ways to encapsulate and transfer data. Attributed strings have grown to provide support for HTML and RTF rich text documents, providing seamless polymorphism between text presentation and representation. Text design now better migrates to the iOS screen and from iOS to other destinations. Image integration has become simple and effective. With Text Kit, attributed strings can now do a lot more than you might expect. This chapter explores some of those expanded possibilities.
