JOSEPH L. BOWER is a Baker Foundation Professor of Business Administration and has been teaching general management at Harvard Business School for more than forty-five years. Among his more than a dozen books is The CEO Within: Why Inside Outsiders Are the Key to Succession Planning. He is a director of Anika Therapeutics, Inc., Lowes, New America High Income Fund, and Sonesta International Hotels. He holds a bachelor’s, MBA, and DBA from Harvard University.
