Stroboscopic Effect

The stroboscopic effect you see here (where you have multiple exposures in just one shot) is surprisingly easy to pull off. You’re just going to choose a long shutter speed (anywhere from two to 10 seconds or longer), and while the shutter is open, you’re going to fire the flash a bunch of times (which is why it’s good to try this with a fresh set of batteries). For this technique to come out looking like the one above, you need to do this pretty much in the dark (you want a solid black background).
