Now that production has wrapped, it’s time to do the most important task of all: take an extended vacation. I’m serious. It’s counterproductive to jump into postproduction without at least spending a week away from the material. I always take a break between production and postproduction; it really helps prepare you for the long haul ahead. After you’ve been at the beach for a week, it’s now time to come into the studio with a fresh mind focused on seeing everything you’ve shot. The postproduction phase has officially begun.
