Business Is a Contact Sport

I remember working with a group of high school coaches several years ago and introducing them to the term “collision sports.” Many assumed that I was referring to NASCAR and demolition derbies. A few of the coaches had never even heard the term before, so the ensuing discussion was interesting. Most of us think of football, hockey, and even basketball as contact sports, but the truth is that football and hockey are more like collision sports, and basketball and soccer are more like contact sports. So what’s the real difference?
