Advanced Raw Adjustment
With shooting Raw proving to provide the best option for creating optimum image quality, software manufacturers are working hard to produce Raw converters that allow you to undertake more and more post-production tasks.
Raw converters now go beyond exposure, brightness, and color adjustments, with some now offering sharpening, lens aberration adjustments, noise reduction, rotation, and even black-and-white conversion. The number and type of extra features varies with the program. A sign of the direction being taken toward comprehensive post-production within the Raw converter dialog is the arrival of retouching tools, which work at much more localized levels. Expect more features and more sophistication to be added.
