CHAPTER 9 Scheduling for the Production
PLANNING
Once the director has finalized the cast list it is time to begin the actual rehearsal process. Before the start of rehearsals, the director develops plans for the rehearsal process, which is actually a subset of the overall production calendar. This production calendar may or may not be developed by the director. If the company has a production manager, he or she is generally responsible for the production calendar, in which case the director provides insight as to when production elements will be needed in the rehearsal process. If the production calendar is not planned by a member of the production team, then it is up to the director to do so.
