action What it will take to accomplish product initiatives. Examples of actions are services, product features, marketing campaigns, supplemental product offerings, and technical infrastructure.

agile development model An approach to project management where tasks are divided into short phases of work with frequent assessments and adjustments. This model is used most often, but not exclusively, in software development. Also referred to as agile project management.

BEDRC The “A-team” is made up of five key disciplines that will make your team the most effective. These are the BEDRC roles (pronounced “bedrock”): Business, Engineering, Design, Research, and Content. See Chapter 4, “Getting Started with the A-Team,” page 84.
