AT HOME WITH MOZART

Mozart moved around a lot. The longest he lived in any one place in Vienna was two and a half years from 1784 to 1787. Today that flat, located at Domgasse 5, the only apartment of his that has survived, is a museum called Mozarthaus Vienna. The spacious home where he created some of his best-known compositions, including the popular opera The Marriage of Figaro, has been open to the public in various arrangements for more than 60 years, but reopened in its current state after a significant refurbishment in 2006.
