5 Business model performance

The aim of this chapter is to couple performance-related studies with business model innovation, where we discuss the relevance, importance, and challenges of connecting the concept of business model innovation processes with the performance management literature. Here too, we continue to expand the horizon of existing studies in this field, and present our understanding, modeling, and operationalization for aligning these two fields of research and practice.
