CHAPTER 11

3D Printing

IN THIS CHAPTER we explore some projects that use three-dimensional (3D) printing and design to enhance other makerspace resources. You don’t need to own or even have access to a 3D printer to learn about 3D modeling and design. Check with your local library about printing availability and cost. Tinkercad also has several 3D printing partners that can print your 3D designs. Chances are that for just a few bucks, you can produce your own prototypes in no time!
