I SEE A BUSINESS OR ORGANIZATION AS AN ENERGY SYSTEM designed to meet human needs and desires. My colleague Arie de Gues, whom I got to know during my years with GBN, goes as far as to argue that an organization, as a collective entity, is literally alive! What if we stopped for a minute and viewed the organizations we work in or visit every day as if they were alive? In The Living Company Arie says,
