Straight-Edged Shapes

Now that you’ve had some practice drawing straight lines, let’s use them to draw straight-edged shapes. We’ll start with a square.

A square is a four-sided shape with all sides being of equal length and all corners at right angles.

If we lengthen a square in one direction, it becomes a rectangle. A rectangle retains its right-angle corners, but it no longer has four equal sides.
