You’ve prepared, researched, auditioned, and cast your show. Before we turn our discussion to rehearsals, though, let’s talk about use of technology as a director. We won’t be covering utilization of technology as part of a performance (that’s another book entirely), but instead we’ll look at how you can use technology in service to your production. I should state up front that, with the pace of change in all technological fields, some of the things I mention in this chapter may change or cease to exist by the time you read this.
