At 11:30 a.m., Carey’s picture in the Skype window did not come up at first, and Luke had to redial. When the call finally connected, Luke saw that Carey looked disheveled, like he’d just gotten up.
“You OK, Carey?” Luke asked.
“Ah, yah, sure. Fine. Rough night with the baby.”
Luke suggested they could talk later if Carey wanted to wake up a bit more, but Carey insisted they continue. Luke explained that he’d been having talks around the company on the sales side, about just how the company and sales were going.
