PREFACE
THESE SHOULD BE BREAKTHROUGH TIMES FOR THE work of diversity and inclusion. Companies are spending more than $8 billion a year on diversity programs.1 Sixty-three percent of today’s diversity professionals were appointed or promoted to their roles between 2016 and 2019. CEOs have signed multiple pledges and sought various diversity and inclusion certifications.2 Efforts to create more inclusive organizations are clearly not suffering from a lack of attention.
But those efforts are suffering from a lack of results.
