Session by Session Framework
As we examined the course, we realized that our exercises and discussions fell under one of five basic topics. We use these five topics to frame classroom activities.
- Design Elements: The building blocks of visual expression: Line, Shape, Form, Space, Color, and Texture
- Design Metaphor: Our primary tool to distill the script so that design becomes a poetic parallel of the play
- Script Analysis: Creating a vast and deep understanding of the script
- Research: Developing the design through the collection, comparison, comprehension, and utilization of all things relevant to the design
