One Of The saddest experiences in life is to be the mother or father of a child who refuses to have anything to do with you. It’s called parental alienation syndrome, and it’s far more common than you’d think.

Sometimes, of course, adult children disconnect for sane and valid reasons. For instance, their parents may be abusive, self-destructive, or otherwise toxic. In cases like this, walking away is sometimes a child’s only good choice.
