In this chapter, we expanded our use of the Stripe API to allow us to validate credit card information without sending that information through our server. We added JavaScript to handle an Ajax call to the Stripe server, and also added gem support for testing JavaScript while still caching HTTP responses.

Now that we’ve been able to set up a secure way of using Stripe, it’s time for us to investigate another way of allowing customers to validate their credit card information without sending it to our server: PayPal.
