Tile Your Windows

In Take Control of Ventura, I wrote about the then-new Stage Manager feature, which lets you group, display, and hide different collections of open windows. I find Stage Manager quite useful on an iPad but much less so on a Mac, which already had at least 10 different ways of managing windows at Ventura’s release! Stage Manager made number 11, and now, since Apple apparently feels that’s still not enough, there’s a twelfth way to manage your windows: tiling.

macOS has always permitted you to make windows any size you like and put them wherever you want on your screen, but if it offends your sense of order to have windows just anywhere, you could choose to arrange them more rigidly—for example, with one taking up the left half ...
