New Task Types
OSD (in its current form) was introduced with ConfigMgr 2007, but Microsoft did not include any new built-in task types until ConfigMgr 2012 R2. ConfigMgr 2012 R2 marks another significant milestone: It is the first release of ConfigMgr after the ConfigMgr product team took ownership of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT). These two milestones are tightly related.
