Almost all of the SVG files in this book so far have been created using a simple text editor—Notepad, to be exact. Creating graphics in a text editor is fine for simple images, but creating complex graphics in code can be a daunting task.
The good news is that if you're used to creating graphics in a drawing package such as Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW, you don't have to throw those skills away in order to use SVG. The latest versions of both packages offer SVG export capability. In this chapter, we look at working with SVG files specifically in Illustrator and CorelDRAW.
