Make Them Successful
I believe a key responsibility of management is to make your people successful. In fact, a manager’s success comes through their people’s success. With that in mind, give them clear direction, give them the resources they need to be successful, help them work through any obstacles, and then get out of their way. It seems simple enough. But I’m always surprised by how many managers do not approach management this way. It should be the goal of every manager to help their employees end each day with a sense of accomplishment.
