Our thanks go to the previous authors in this series and all those at RIBA Publishing that shouldered the burden of creating a template and a set of examples for us to follow.
Writing this guide has given us an opportunity to look both back to lessons learned and forward to the opportunities that the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 presents in mainstreaming sustainability. In doing so we have reminded ourselves of the enormous depth of knowledge and wisdom of those with whom we have worked, swapped stories and often commiserated, debated and collaborated. There are too many to name, but they know who they are.
