Chapter overview
At Stage 7, the building has been in operation for some time. Earlier stages will have seen any initial defects or snags present at Practical Completion addressed by the end of the defect rectification period. The project team has been closely involved with the building over many months, or even years, and has grown from just the client to include a design team, a contractor and eventually the building managers, who have inherited the responsibility of understanding in theory how it should perform.
