Volume, tone, cadence, and enunciation are all crucial in any communication. Your voice is an important communication tool and you need to use it effectively. Keep a steady cadence with appropriate pauses. Don’t talk too quickly or too slowly. Talking too slowly conveys that you’re a boring person or don’t have much energy. You will lose people’s attention as they nod off to your droning. Think of them as having a mental TV remote to click you off and see what’s on another channel.
