Foreword
Fifteen years ago, in the preface of my book, Social Work Supervision: Contexts and Concepts, I wrote ‘supervision has been identified as one of the most important factors in determining the job satisfaction levels and the quality of service to clients’. As an indirect but vital to provide quality practice, it is surprising that supervision has not received as much attention as other components of other areas of practice (Tsui, 2005). Fortunately, there have been numerous books, journal articles and conference papers to keep filling the theory and knowledge gap in the last fifteen years.
