Webster’s online dictionary offers four definitions of success. The definition that most resonates with me and captures the spirit of Success: Theory and Practice reads as follows—“That which comes after; hence, consequence, issue, or result, of an endeavor or undertaking, whether good or bad; the outcome of effort.” This definition of success is more than just a focus on the ends, but rather the means and the ends; the process by which an individual pursues a course of action that may or may not result in the desired outcome.
