Without being happy, you will be firmly imbedded in the quicksand of somewhere between apathy and “I don’t really want to do this”/“Why am I doing this?”/“I’m not having any fun.”
Happiness in business is one of those soft, squishy, tough to define personal things that we talk about, but never seem to get our arms around. Yet it is one of the most impactful elements that influence the success or failure of your business. So, let’s actually define it.
You need to be happy with what you are doing. That translates to being comfortable, driven, proud, motivated and, yes, even inspired. Ecstatic is a rarity. Happiness actually applies to business as much as it applies to just about anything in life.
