Don’t Be So Sensitive. Tough It Out, Snowflake!

We have raised a generation of “snowflakes,” people who give too much credence and importance to relatively minor slights. Overly sensitive. Defensive. Easily offended by trivial provocations. Superficial to the point of “me first, you second, but maybe, only if I have time for you, or if I have the inclination to shift attention away from me.”

So, who says that’s all bad? Did I make it sound like shortcomings? In business, it certainly is not. It’s called “survival.” But there is a dangerous tendency to overdo it; letting this “prince or princess” attitude affect your business decision making, and that’s bad.
