It was the spring of 2005, and I was sitting at my kitchen table, looking at some magazines that featured stories of retiring CEOs and leaders who were sharing how they planned to actively engage in philanthropic causes now that they had the time. I wondered, what about while they were in their CEO position, did they ever ponder, then, how their decisions were impacting people and communities around the globe? What would the world look like if every leader considered the impact of their daily decisions on people and on the planet?
