In a dark-wood-paneled room, the executives gathered. It was a smallish room with 10 leather seats. Most were the same, but some were older and wobblier. The late arrivals got those, unless they were senior executives, in which case the more junior, such as me, would jump up to relinquish a more stable seat and go take a wobbler or lean against the credenza.
