Aural Properties

Because of the close relationship of properties in XSL-FO and CSS2, XSL-FO supports all of the aural properties of CSS2, including:

  • cue

  • pause

  • pitch

  • speak

  • speech-rate

  • voice-family

  • volume

These properties can be used for increasing the accessibility of your documents. Because they can really only be applied in a browser or multimedia context, however, they might not be widely supported.
