Ever been lost in a big, old city? The roads seem to wander randomly. Few streets intersect at right angles. Individual streets change names, become one way, or simply dead end without warning. I have a recurring nightmare that, as a tourist in a city, I reach an intersection while driving down a one way street and innocently encounter all three signs of doom at once: no left turn, no right turn, and do not enter. There is no flashing red light to warn me as I approach this dreaded intersection. Naturally there is no sign identifying the street I am on, nor the street I have reached.
