6. Managing Solaris CIFS Server and Client
OpenSolaris has a built-in native CIFS client and server. The client is installed by default, and the server packages can be installed after interactive installation. OpenSolaris can manage CIFS by the command line or a GUI via the GNOME file manager. There is no anonymous user in the built-in server. If an anonymous user is required, then SAMBA would be the better option to configure.
The CIFS client and server are not available in Solaris 10.
