Appendix. Installing tools, libraries, and frameworks
This appendix shows how to install the various tools and libraries used in the examples in this book. In this appendix you’ll find how to install the following components:
- Java— The examples we use in this book are based on Java. Even though the concepts shown here can be applied to other languages, the environment we work with for our examples is Java.
- Maven— To make it easier to run the examples, Maven projects are provided for all the examples. This allows you to easily run the examples from the command line or from Eclipse.
- Eclipse— The development environment we work with is Eclipse. Eclipse is a great Java development environment with a lot of plug-ins and extensions.
