7B: Building the Simulation in Simio
Introduction
Undertaking the exercises in this chapter requires the installation of the Simio Personal Edition simulation software system. This is available as a free download with full functionality but with a limited model size at www.simio.com/evaluate.php.
This chapter uses version 14.2 of Simio. A selection of objects from the object library in Simio is described. These provide the building blocks for the models presented in this chapter, but there are numerous additional objects available in Simio if required. The following objects are described:
- Source
- Sink
- Server
- Combiner
- Separator
- Resource
