2 Aging and complexity

We find ourselves as we age bound up with new and an ever growing number of limitations in our ability to remember and to think. We begin to sense our growing stupidity as we age by what we know that we have forgotten. Our learning curve and our capacity to adjust to the new forms of expertise and technologies becomes as we age too much for us. We have a sense of becoming obsolete.

When we try to recall all that we have been through in life, for example, such as when we have forgotten simply all those people that we have been in touch with throughout our lives, the thought of it is too complex and over whelming. Our memory becomes fragmented and disparate with so much to try to recall. In old age we have much to regret. ...
