You built your web pages. Now, how do you get them into the search systems? That’s what this chapter and Chapter 16 explain. In this chapter, I talk about how to get your pages into search engines, and in Chapter 16, I explain how to list your site with search directories.
You can attempt to get the search engines attention, to encourage them to find out about and index your site, in essentially three ways:
- Links pointing to your site
- Sitemap submissions and submission requests
- Simple link-submission pages
