SKOS in Action
SKOS is a great example of what we have in mind when we call something “a model on the Semantic Web”; it models particular standards for how to represent thesauri in a Web-oriented way that encourages linking and reuse. We have seen what this model says about terms and concepts in a thesaurus and how they can relate to one another. But how is SKOS itself being used? What do we gain by representing a thesaurus in SKOS?
