Tibbiya College is not merely a teaching place and an institution to produce tabibs with effectual knowledge of modern surgery.1
The formation of Tibbiya College—a continuity of the Madrasa-e Tibbiya (a school for unani medicine) established in 18892—was a moment, both in the history of the institution and of ideas in colonial India, which contained within itself the seeds of immense possibilities.
