Seeing beyond the Glass Ceiling

ITS AN EXCITING TIME IN THE WORLD. Women as CEOs, women as prime ministers, women at the head of global organizations—such as Christine Lagarde, who led the International Monetary Fund for eight years and is now leading the European Central Bank—never has there been a time in our history when women have blossomed into positions of such importance and influence.

There is still a ways to go. There’s still a wage gap where a woman, on average, makes about 78 percent of what a man does. The world economy is still male dominated, and society continues to uncover the ugliness of sexual harassment and intimidation.
