NOW THAT WE’VE ESTABLISHED what face is and is not, let’s look at the kind of work environment you can create when face is preserved as a part of the overall culture, and how that culture can lead to positive results.
Our environment, whether we’re talking about work or our personal lives, is filled with contrasts. There are differences in ethnicity, culture, generations, languages, gender, and time (if you work with teams outside your area). Without the right atmosphere, where diverse ideas and attitudes are accepted, conflicts can easily arise, either intentionally or unintentionally.
