This chapter covers all those administrative areas and management tasks that are basic and typical in SAP systems, both SAP Basis and SAP Web Application based. Differences were covered extensively in Chapter 2.
These administrative tasks deal with the basic monitoring and management of the components that make up the SAP system. SAP systems offer a very extensive collection of programs, menus, and utilities for performing administrative tasks. Most of them are located under the functions provided from the Tools | Administration menu.
