In this lesson, you learn how to understand the wide variety of keyword-related information that AdWords displays for an ad group. You also learn how to analyze the success of different keywords and how to improve your campaign for better performance.
Understanding the Ad Group Screen
You can have several ad groups in a campaign. An ad group can have a single ad, a pair of ads being tested against each other, or a set of more or less related ads. For instance, you can have several similar ads, with slight variations to include the particular keywords that the ad runs with. That way, you can use well-tested text while adhering to the suggestion that ads contain the keyword that the user typed.
