Lesson 2. Signing Up and Getting Started
Lesson 1, “Welcome to Google Voice,” showed you all the great reasons to use Google Voice. Now it’s time to put Google Voice to work. Before you can start to explore Google Voice’s features, you need to sign up and set up your phones.
Getting started with Google Voice is quick and easy:
• Request an invitation.
• Sign up for Google Voice.
• Register your phone.
• Add more phones.
Currently, you need an invitation to join Google Voice. (If that’s changed by the time you read this, skip ahead to the “Setting Up Your Google Voice Account” section.) So let’s start with the process of requesting an invitation.
