Hour 2. Understanding the ASP.NET Programming Model
Before we can start creating ASP.NET Web pages, it is important that we have a solid understanding of the ASP.NET programming model. As we'll see in this hour, ASP.NET Web pages are comprised of two portions: a source code portion and an HTML portion. In this hour's first section, “Examining the HTML Markup Portion of an ASP.NET Web Page,” we'll examine what belongs in the HTML portion of an ASP.NET Web page.
In this hour we'll also see the the Web Matrix Project editor in action a number of times. Because we'll be using this editor throughout the book, please do take the time in this hour to familiarize yourself with the Web Matrix Project.
