Overview
In the last chapter, we described Program Increment (PI) planning, which is the seminal event of the Agile Release Train (ART). After PI planning, teams begin developing the solution in iterations.
Iterations are the basic building blocks of Agile development. Each iteration is a standard, fixed-length timebox, during which Agile teams deliver incremental value in the form of working, tested software and systems. The recommended duration of the iteration timebox is two weeks. However, one to four weeks also works, depending on the business context.
