A friend of mine went to his doctor to get something removed from his face near his eye. The doctor put him in a chair, tilted him back, and focused the light. That’s when my friend saw the pair of medical scissors in his doctor’s hands coming toward him.

“Well, yeah, a little bit.”
“Well, don’t you think you want to give me a shot or something around there to dull the pain? That would be good, right?”
“Well, sure,” his doctor said. “I can do that for you if you’d like.”
