A credit card-sized SBC of low cost and that has good community support is the BeagleBone Black board from the Beagleboard organization. This board comes with an AM335x 1GHz ARM® Cortex-A8 processor with 512 MB DDR3 RAM support. It has an onboard 4 GB 8-bit eMMC flash storage that could hold an OS.
Other features include PowerVR SGX530, a GPU that supports a 3D graphics accelerator, a NEON float point accelerator, and two 32-bit PRU microcontrollers. This board has two 46 pin headers with USB client, host Ethernet, and HDMI connectivity options. BeagleBone Black is shown here:
